Weighing in at under fourteen pounds and covering a small space of just over a foot by a half foot and standing a little over ten inches tall, the DeLonghi Lattissima Plus Nespresso Capsule System is a small compact unit. It comes with a milk tank that can be removed from the unit and stored in the refrigerator between uses. To make it simple to keep clean there is a “clean” button that will steam the nozzles to ensure that your coffee always tastes perfect (this takes about ten seconds). No longer do you need a separate milk steamer.

Features Of The DeLonghi Lattissima Plus Nespresso Capsule System

The DeLonghi Lattissima Plus Nespresso Capsule System features a lit control panel that has buttons which may be programmed to create a favorite drink with a touch. There are three milk settings and two coffee settings to chose from. The coffee capsule system frees up the need to measure or deal with used coffee.  Simply place the nespresso cups into the top of the machine and press a button.  When the cup/capsule is empty the machine ejects it into a storage bin for later disposal. Brew coffee by the cup with milk heated and steamed just as you like it, no matter how busy your mornings are. Forget to hit the power switch on the way out the door? No problem, it will shut off for you.

Pro’s and Con’s Of The Lattissima Nespresso Capsule System

There were no non-five-star reviews for the DeLonghi Lattissima Plus Nespresso Capsule System. What might be a “con” to one person could be a “plus” to another.  The things mentioned by the reviewers that they did not like are few and far between.  That said, one complaint raised was that if you like to hand grind your beans then the capsule system will not be a favored way to go.  The capsules cost about fifty cents a cup to brew with this machine, and they ease clean up, because everything is pre-measured for you. You get to toss the mess, but then you also do not get to hand grind your coffee beans. Another con was the smaller water container size.  It may need to be filled more often then larger machines.

The pros were many with the DeLonghi Lattissima Plus Nespresso Capsule System. Coffee and milk are together in one machine. Cappuccino and Latte drinks can be made at the touch of a button. The milk it authentically steamed, and the process is quiet.  Both the prep and cleaning are fast and easy. The capsules are considered among the best for “pod” brewers. It is considered better then the Keurig system by some reviewers and the milk steaming feature is touted to be spot on.
