Treat Yourself To Organic Flavored Coffee
Coffee drinkers today want to know that by purchasing organic flavored coffee they are helping to improve working conditions for coffee farmers, protecting the environment, and promoting sustainable practices around the globe.
Organic coffee – what is it exactly? This is coffee that is grown without using enhancement chemicals. It has been done that way since time before chemical companies intruded. Farmers plant the seeds, irrigate the roots and let the sun do the rest.
Natural and organic are not interchangeable. Other truthful claims, such as free-range, hormone-free, and natural, can still appear on food labels. However, don’t confuse these terms with “organic.” Only food labeled “organic” has been certified as meeting USDA organic standards.
By choosing organic flavored coffee, even though it may cost a bit more, it is a simple extension of your personal beliefs that everything we do should help, rather than harm, the world in which we live.
Organic coffee, like other organic or all natural foods, is sold in an entirely different section of your local supermarket. This type of coffee is sold in caffeinated and decaffeinated as well as flavored with vanilla, chocolate hazelnut or anything else you can think of that regular coffee comes in. Organic flavored coffee (like other all-natural products) must contain a seal indicating it is, in fact, organic. This is an FDA classification and cannot be overlooked.
For us, high quality extends beyond the excellence of our roasts. It includes high quality in the growing and methods of farming, and fair and respectful treatment of those who grow our fine coffee. By supporting Fair Trade Certified products provides an additional opportunity for us and our customers to have a meaningful impact on the working and living conditions faced by many who grow, harvest and process coffee throughout the world.
Organic coffee prices will go down over the next few years, analysts predict. This is made possible by the crop rotation practices mentioned earlier by avoiding using fertilizers and pesticides.
When organic flavored coffee is a product that is higher in quality, delivers better taste, and can be offered at the same price as a high-quality non-organic product, why purchase a non-organic product?

Automatic Coffee Makers – The Must Have Home Accessory
As the first coffee maker, the Turkish Ibrik was fairly basic but it did a fantastic job of producing strong, aromatic coffee. The Ibrik was a simple design, a copper container with a long handle and grooved tongue. Coffee is still served this was in many parts of the Middle East today.
For those more interested in drinking a beverage than eating coffee grounds, a wide variety of automatic coffee makers are available from the plain to the esoteric. Here are a few things to look for…
The most common type of automatic coffee makers are the drip models. It works by heating water via an electric element that is poured into the top of the machine. The water then passes through the coffee grounds and then gathers in a glass pot that sits on a hot plate at the base of the machine.
However, these are just the basic features. There are many more options available which you might find nice to have.
The amount of options available on today’s coffee makers has developed so much that the coffee virtually brews itself! Display screens tell you the time the machine will start brewing, once brewing how long is left, temperature, etc.
If you have ever been in the unfortunate position of having coffee pouring all over your kitchen bench because you forgot to shut off the coffee machine or you could not wait until the coffee finished brewing and you removed the glass pot just to take a quick cup of coffee, only to have the coffee drip all over the hot plate, then you will understand the importance of the Auto shut-off feature. Basically as soon as you remove the coffee pot from the hot plate the machine stops brewing the coffee. This may not be one of the most fancy options but it is certainly one of the most useful!
Today you can control every aspect of your coffee brewing experience. Many modern machines let you select the strength of the coffee you desire, along with what time you want the brew to start, so it can be ready when you wake-up, presuming you remember to set it up the night before!
Everyone loves the smell of coffee, and it is very comforting to come down into your kitchen on a dark, cold morning and smell the fresh brewing coffee as well as seeing the little illuminated display telling you your coffee is ready.
Cleaning your coffee machine can be a real pain. It is just another job to add to your ever growing list of things to do. But a new development within the coffee world, the coffee ‘pod’, has made coffee brewing and cleaning your coffee machine a lot easier. The coffee pod is a small, pre-measured paper container of coffee. You put the pod into your machine, the water filters through the coffee, the same as normal coffee machines, and your coffee is ready. However, once the pod has cooled you can take it out of the machine and throw it into the bin. That is it. The cleaning of your machine is complete. Perfect for the harassed coffee drinker who hates cleaning.
A water filter can prove to be a really useful addition to your coffee machine. If the water where you live is not that great then the water filter will only improve the quality of your coffee. Of course the water filter may increase the price of your coffee machine, but can you really put a price on the perfect cup of coffee?
Permanent coffee filter styles can be had, but with the pods they’re much less important. Debates rage over the environmental impact and the taste effect of the paper from the pods. Vote your conscience.
Choosing your coffee machine may feel like an impossible choice due to the vast array available. But once you have finally chosen you will be able to relax and enjoy the perfect cup of coffee at any time.
Find the Best Coffee Maker for You
It seems like there are new coffee makers coming onto the market every week. With this level of choice it is no wonder making a decision as to which is the best coffee maker for you can be so difficult. If you understand the different types available it will be easier to make your choice.
Automatic Drip
One of the most popular coffee maker types is the automatic drip. One of the most favored features of the automatic drip coffee makers is their simplicity of use. They are by far the easiest of all coffee maker types to use, and they are also very cost-effective.
[DFR::645017-10389303-cj|align_right_1]For these types of coffee makers the coffee grounds are first measured into a filter which is then placed into the filter holder of the coffee maker. You then simply pour the recommended amount of water into the reservoir and turn the machine on to brew. It is best to brew a full pot but you can just make enough for a cup or two if you prefer. The automatic drip coffee machines produce a clear and very light bodied coffee, and of course as with any other coffee you should serve it immediately after brewing. The manual and automatic drip brewers are comparable in cup quality, and features of automatic drip coffee makers include the ability to heat and maintain a hot water temperature, spray heads for even dispersion of water over coffee grounds, and the use of filter holders which are designed for high extraction.
Percolator
Of all the coffee maker types, the percolator is considered to be the ugly duckling. This is because it does not respect the ground rules for brewing coffee. Instead, the coffee is boiled in a percolator, and the water is passed several times through the grounds. Although this is certainly not the standard way in which coffee is brewed, and the coffee can often come out tasting flavorless and bitter, when brewed properly it can be quite delicious. Remember that the method of brewing that you choose is entirely up to you, but it will greatly change the flavor of coffee that you buy. This is why it is important that you learn about the different coffee maker types and that you make the most intelligent decision and choose the right coffee maker for you and your taste preferences.
